What must I do to be saved?
- Jesus Christ died for each and everyone of us.
- Salvation is simply confessing and believing. You must confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Believe in your heart that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, buried, and rose again on the third day and is seated at the right hand of God.
“For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-11).
We are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of God.
Once you understand that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ is the only one who can save you from sin and that He gave his life for you so that you could be brought back in to right standing with him through the blood He shed on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins you can be saved.
If you want to be saved believe in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, and commit the rest of your life to Him as Lord and pray this prayer of salvation
The Sinners Prayer
“ Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Psalm 51
“Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are proved right when You speak and justified when You judge. Surely I have been a sinner from birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me… Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow… Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will turn back to You.
Each Sunday at the end of service here at Ward A.M.E. we provide the opportunity for all to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour the Bible says
Luke 12:8-9
Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
